Yes. We offer a 1-day free trial for all new students in both of our locations. You can sign up for the free trial on our website by going to our Locations-page or clicking the Book Now-button in the navigation-bar.

You can sign up for membership at the Academy’s physical location. Pricing information can be found in the Locations-page for each location.

Yes. We offer family add-ons at a flat rate of $125 per member in our memberships. Please visit Locations-page for more information.

Yes. We offer -$25 off from your monthly membership fees, or -25% off for our annual plan for Law Enforcement and Military. Please visit Locations-page for more information.

Our cancellation policy is simple, we require a 30-day cancellation notice before your next billing date. If you wish to cancel sooner, we charge a $50 cancellation fee.

We currently offer only evening classes in both of our locations, and sparring Saturday mornings.

These are the 2 programs available at MMASA for Youth from ages 4-12 years. For a full description of all the martial arts disciplines that we offer, please visit our Programs-page.

We offer classes for youth from age 4 to 12. Kids break into age groups within the main class with assistant instructors. You can learn more about our programs in the Programs-page.

Yes. Teens 13 years and older will attend our Adult classes, which are safely structured to include teens. We do not offer a separate teens program at this time, but we have many teens training here in the adult classes. You can learn more about our programs in the Programs-page.

Yes. Our coaches offer private classes. Booking and pricing will be directly with them. You can ask for their contact information at the front desk.

Absolutely. The principles you’ll learn in any of our Adults & Youth programs are all excellent for self-defense. Anyone looking to learn self-defense will definitely get it here at MMASA!

We unfortunately do not currently offer fitness classes or a dedicated workout area.

For Free Trial classes, no gear needed. Just wear workout clothes.
If you have previous experience, or become a member, you will need the following gear.
Adults
- MMA Striking classes (basics): boxing gloves, focus mitts, hand wraps.
- MMA Striking classes (adv): boxing gloves, shin guards, hand wraps, mouth piece.
- MMA Grappling classes: shorts, rashguard or dryfit shirt, mouth piece.
- Jiu Jitsu classes: Jiu Jitsu Gi (kimono), belt, mouth piece for Gi classes. Shorts, rashguard or dryfit shirt, mouth piece for Nogi classes.
Youth
- Youth MMA classes: boxing gloves, shin guards, headgear, mouth piece.
- Youth Jiu Jitsu classes: a Jiu Jitsu Gi (kimono), belt, mouth piece.

We sell all the training gear you will need for training in our pro shop at the academy. We do not rent gear at this time.

Yes! We offer introductory classes suitable for the absolute beginner in each of our disciplines. We are the ideal gym in Sunrise to help you begin your martial arts journey.

You will never be asked to do anything you do not want to do or cannot do due to injury. We will do our best to recommend a class that won’t aggravate any pre-existing injuries, or our instructors will modify the exercises/techniques so that you are able to get a great, safe workout.

No! We welcomes students of all fitness levels looking to train martial arts. We encourage everyone to go at their own pace and instructors are glad to help in any way possible even it means giving options for exercises or techniques in class.
